Call for Proposals: Support for Emerging Creative Hubs in Morocco

Deadline: 08-Aug-2025

The British Council is inviting proposals from creative hubs in Morocco to receive flexible support aimed at helping them expand their reach and connect with more diverse audiences.

This opportunity is part of the Creative Hubs Programme, a long-term initiative designed to boost the sustainability and impact of well-established creative spaces across Morocco. The programme focuses on strengthening these hubs with structured strategies so they can grow as inclusive, accessible, and community-driven spaces for artistic and cultural engagement.

The programme aligns with the British Council’s mission to promote inclusivity, sustainability, and international collaboration, particularly with the UK’s creative industries.

Each selected hub will receive up to £30,000 in total, spread over three years, with a maximum of £10,000 per year.

Eligible applicants include cultural collectives, NGOs, and cultural institutions or enterprises that actively manage or run creative spaces—physical or hybrid—used for art production, audience participation, or community events. Hubs without a fixed venue may also be considered if they demonstrate consistent activity and community impact through events or residencies.

To apply, organizations must be emerging hubs active for more than five years but less than ten. They must show potential for growth, creativity, and strong community ties, along with a commitment to artistic development, youth involvement, and equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Proposals will be evaluated on their past or current projects, the challenges they face in audience growth, and their interest in collaborating within the MENA region or with the UK arts sector. Demonstrating strong EDI values in programming and leadership will also be key to selection.
