Applications are now open for the ASEAN-COCI 2025 Jubilee Photo Competition to enhance awareness and celebrate the enduring legacy of ASEAN-COCI, and envision a future-ready ASEAN-COCI that effectively advances its mission of fostering a people-oriented and people-centered community of opportunities for all.

The Photo Competition explores the theme of “ASEAN as a Community of Opportunities for All”. The competition invites participants to think about community-building efforts in the region, and how they can build a deeper sense of regional belonging toward a shared identity and future. You are invited to showcase stories of people or places, and capture the cultural dynamism, economic integration and other interesting facets of Southeast Asia. Let your creativity and lens bring their shared aspirations and vision into focus! Share the ASEAN story!

The Photo Competition is a central highlight of the celebrations, offering participants a platform to creatively capture the spirit of the region. The winners will be rewarded with significant prizes, with the first prize winner receiving USD 1000, the second prize USD 750, and the third prize USD 250. Beyond the awards, all winners will be invited to attend the ASEAN-COCI 2025 Jubilee Forum in Jakarta in the last quarter of 2025, with airfare and accommodation provided.

Eligibility for the competition is open to all citizens of ASEAN Member States who are aged 18 and above, excluding current employees of the ASEAN Secretariat and their immediate families. Participants must submit original works, and only one entry per person will be accepted. AI-generated images, previously submitted works, or entries used commercially are not permitted.

Submissions must reflect the theme “ASEAN: A Community of Opportunities” and will be accompanied by a short caption and a 50-word description that tells the story behind the image., Entries must be in PNG, JPG/JPEG, or TIF/TIFF formats with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and 20 megapixels. Proper file naming is required, and photographs should remain unsigned. Successful submissions that meet all criteria will receive an automatic email notification.

Participants must also adhere to the rules regarding exclusivity, as sharing the entries publicly before the official announcement will result in disqualification. By entering, participants agree to all terms, including the final decisions of the jury. Submissions will be accepted until 19 October 2025.
