CFAs: Rolleston Open Cut Community Investment Grants (Australia)

Apply now for Community Project Grant (Australia)

Deadline: 08-Oct-2025

The Glencore continues its commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities through its Rolleston Open Cut Community Investment Program.

As Australia’s largest coal producer, Glencore operates extensively across New South Wales and Queensland, and this program is designed to support the local communities in which the company’s workforce lives and works.

The Community Investment Program offers funding to not-for-profit, incorporated organisations that propose initiatives delivering real and measurable benefits to Glencore’s operational regions. In New South Wales, these areas include the Singleton, Muswellbrook and Mid-Western Local Government Areas, while in Queensland, the program focuses on communities such as Glenden, Collinsville/Scottville, Tieri/Capella, Springsure/Rolleston, Nebo/Pioneer Valley, Wandoan/Taroom and Clermont.

Eligible projects must align with at least one of the program’s priority focus areas: health, environment, education and training, Indigenous initiatives, or another clearly identified local need. Funding is generally capped at $3,000 per organisation to ensure broad community reach, although larger funding requests will be considered based on merit and the potential value they bring to the community.

Applications must include clearly defined goals, timeframes, and be submitted either at least eight weeks before the start of the project or within the official funding round period. It’s important to note that while Glencore runs two Junior Sports Development rounds annually, senior sporting clubs are not eligible for funding under the Rolleston Community Investment Program.

This funding opportunity offers community organisations a chance to drive meaningful local projects that enhance wellbeing, support education, protect the environment, and respond to unique regional needs.
