Deadline: 14-Nov-2025
The City of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, has opened applications for its annual Community Grant Program, giving registered not-for-profit organisations, charities, and grassroots groups the chance to secure funding of up to CAD $15,000 per year for ongoing operational support or one-time project initiatives.
Eligible applicants must be based in the Guelph area, serve local residents, and meet the requirements of being a registered not-for-profit or charity (or partnered with one) with a volunteer board of directors, standing in good standing with the City. Grants can be requested for core operations, year-round programming, or specific projects such as events, pilots or small capital purchases. Additionally, applicants may request up to CAD $3,000 in additional funding for city facility fees or permit costs.
Decisions are expected in April 2026 following review. Current multi-year operational grantees remain eligible for the fee-funding option and must follow separate application instructions.
The program will hold virtual and in-person information sessions in October and November to walk potential applicants through eligibility and the application process.
For community-based organisations in Guelph looking to strengthen their capacity, expand programming, or launch new initiatives, this grant offers a well-structured, city-supported opportunity to gain financial backing and deepen local impact.
