Deadline: 15-Oct-2025

The District of Hope in British Columbia is offering a Grant‑In‑Aid Program aimed at supporting local non‑profit societies within the Hope area.

This program provides financial assistance for programs, activities, and events that contribute to community well‑being, foster volunteerism, and benefit Hope’s residents and those in the surrounding region.

Eligible groups are registered non‑profit societies in the Hope district. The grants cannot be used for direct financial support to individuals or families, nor for duplicating services already provided by senior government bodies or local agencies. Provincial or national fundraising campaigns are also excluded from eligibility.

There are several types of funding available. Seed grants help new agencies with part of their establishment costs. Special project funding supports standalone events or activities that are unique or periodical. Capital expenditure aid may assist with purchasing essential capital items, though with the understanding that the District contribution will cover only part of the cost, with the balance coming from other sources.

To apply, groups need to submit a completed application form, a recent financial statement and budget, and a clear description of the project and its intended community impact. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

This funding opportunity allows local non‑profits to launch new initiatives, improve community services, and deliver projects that make a genuine difference in residents’ lives. If your organization is in Hope and you have a program or event in mind that strengthens community ties or meets a local need, this could be the chance to secure support.
