Grants available for Strengthening the Resilience and Improving the Income of Small Producers – Burkina Faso

Up to $100,000 available under Language Technology Innovators Fund Program

Deadline: 09-Nov-2025

The World Food Programme has announced its Grants for Strengthening the Resilience and Improving the Income of Small Producers to support the Government of Burkina Faso in its goal of Zero Hunger by 2030 with a series of activities focused on strengthening the capacities of the most vulnerable populations.

WFP focuses on safeguarding food systems at all stages of crises, restoring natural resources and fostering climate-resilient production, connecting agricultural production with consumption, promoting nutritious and healthy diets, and establishing supportive environments for sustainable food systems.

In collaboration with government technical services, NGOs and associations, the private sector, universities, and research institutions, WFP, through the three-pronged approach (3PA), develops strategic and operational partnerships for the implementation of the Resilience Initiative.

This initiative is based on the creation of productive assets and facilitating access to essential basic social services. Activities are identified during participatory community planning (PCP). The initiative also supports Burkina Faso’s leadership in resilience and aligns with resilience efforts at the regional level.

The Resilience Initiative focuses on creating or restoring productive assets to benefit populations and strengthen agricultural production, health services, education, and more. WFP strives to make food systems more resilient and inclusive, aligning its efforts with national priorities, the National Strategic Framework, various sectoral programs, and the agro-pastoral offensive for food sovereignty.

Through this program, WFP aims to improve access to safe and nutritious food, restore ecosystems, support smallholder farmers, reduce dependence on imports, and enhance food security and infrastructure. The program emphasizes alignment with national systems, acceleration initiatives, and support for small producers through organization and capacity building.

WFP is now seeking to select a cooperating partner (NGO) in the field of resilience development activities and malnutrition reduction in Burkina Faso, specifically in the Guiriko Region/Houet and Tuy Province (Toussiana and Bereba municipalities). Potential non-profit partners must be registered in Burkina Faso and operational in the targeted areas. Eligible NGOs and associations from the roster will be considered for this opportunity.

The deadline for applications is 9 November 2025.
