ID Water, a Taiwan-based organization dedicated to sustainable water and ecosystem restoration, invites qualified NGOs to submit proposals for the Keta Lagoon Blue Carbon Mangrove Restoration & Conservation Project in Ghana to restore 10,000 hectares of degraded wetlands through mangrove planting, biodiversity enhancement, and community engagement.

Restore degraded mangrove ecosystems in Keta Lagoon, Strengthen coastal protection and involve communities in conservation, Monitor ecological impact over a 30-year period, Mangrove planting, biodiversity enhancement, and community engagement.

This initiative aims to restore 10,000 hectares of degraded wetlands through mangrove planting and long-term ecosystem stewardship. The selected NGO will be responsible for implementing restoration activities, collaborating locally, and ensuring long-term monitoring. Proposals should demonstrate technical experience, community-based approaches, and the capacity to deliver impactful results over a 20-year horizon.

Ghana-based NGOs are welcomed to apply by the submission deadline of August 31, 2025. The selected NGO will conduct assessments in priority zones and plant and maintain 10,000 hectares of mangroves over 5–7 years. The work will include running community programs and awareness campaigns, setting up monitoring systems, and collaborating with local stakeholders.

Eligible NGOs must be legally registered in Ghana and have experience in mangrove or wetland restoration. Applicants should show community involvement, technical expertise, and operational stability, as well as provide records of past projects and have a strong local reputation.

Proposals must include a Technical Proposal, a Financial Proposal, an NGO registration certificate, past and current project reports with photos related to mangroves or wetlands, and CVs of key team members. The evaluation will follow the stated timeline, with proposal review on September 7, 2025, notification on September 15, 2025, and project start in mid-2026.
