The National Government of Colombia launches the second version of the National Award for Young Talent in alliance with One Young World (OYW), the summit of young leaders that identifies, promotes, and connects the most influential activists in the world.

The National Award for Young Talent brings together the efforts of the Office of the First Lady of the Nation, María Juliana Ruiz, of the Presidential Council for Youth with the support of Fundación Solidaridad por Colombia.

It is an ally with One Young World and is possible thanks to the financing of 15 private sector companies that believe and bet on the talent of young Colombians: Diageo, Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, Bavaria, Efecty, Servbinetega, Colombina, Mercadolibre, Freskaleche, Constructora Capital, Ara / Jerónimo Martins, iFood, YPO Colombia, ISA, Alejandría and Sanofi.

To ensure the participation and representation of young people from all over the national territory, the 20 available places will be assigned in accordance with the 9 Regional Pacts defined in the 2018-2022 National Development Plan: Pacific Region, Caribbean Region, Central Region, Santanderes Region, Amazon Region, Coffee Axis Region and Antioquia, Llanos-Orinoquía Region and Seaflower Region & Oceania.

In the call for the National Young Talent Award 2021, Colombian young people between 18 and 28 years of age and who lead projects related to: innovation, health, entrepreneurship, technologies, community work, cultural projects, environmental solutions, mitigation of effects of the COVID 19 pandemic, scientific research, education and conflict resolution or human rights.
