New Zealand: Henderson-Massey Quick Response Grant Program 2025

Deadline: 01-Aug-2025

The Auckland Council has introduced the Henderson-Massey Quick Response Grant Program to support small-scale community initiatives. These grants are designed to provide fast, low-value funding and are available up to five times a year.

The program supports a variety of project types, including those related to arts, community development, environment, events, heritage, and sports and recreation.

Grant amounts range from $500 to $2,000. Projects that align closely with local community needs and council priorities are more likely to receive funding.

Higher priority is given to activities that foster community connection and inclusivity, improve Māori and Pasifika outcomes, or promote smoke-free, waste-reducing events with healthy food options. The program also favors locally based, non-profit activities, youth education or training initiatives, projects that encourage healthy lifestyles, and those promoting alternative transport.

Projects involving travel or accommodation outside Auckland, retrospective costs for completed activities, or fundraising events are less likely to be funded.

Certain expenses are not eligible at all. These include debt repayment, legal or medical costs, religious or political activities, and services that fall under the responsibility of the central government, such as primary education or healthcare.
