The Salouma Project, led by the World Food Programme (WFP), invites service providers to deliver financial literacy and business advisory services to SMEs in food processing, micro-agriculture, and local economic initiatives across Senegal. The project aims to strengthen SME financial capacity, operational efficiency, and market access, with a focus on youth-led enterprises and sustainable local economic development.

Scope of Services

  1. Financial Literacy Training

    • Initial assessment of SME financial knowledge

    • Group training modules on:

      • Accounting basics

      • Cash management

      • Cost calculation and pricing

      • Budgeting and financial planning

      • Loans, interest rates, and financial products

    • Training materials tailored to SME knowledge levels

  2. Business Advisory Services

    • Individual diagnostics of operational, financial, and commercial performance

    • Support in business planning, production efficiency, quality control, and regulatory compliance

    • Development and revision of business plans, marketing strategies, and operational improvement plans

    • Guidance on preparing financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and investment proposals

    • Facilitation of connections with financial institutions, youth entrepreneurship funds, and private investors

  3. Monitoring and Support

    • Quarterly follow-up meetings and ongoing problem-solving guidance

    • Periodic reporting on SME progress, challenges, and recommendations
