Organizational Capacity Assessment and Capacity Building Grants for LGBTQIA+ Organizations

Deadline: 27-Oct-2025

The ERIM (Equal Rights & Independent Media), a French organization, is calling for applications from LGBTQIA+ organizations based in Armenia, Moldova or Ukraine seeking long-term capacity building support tailored to their needs.

The grant call focuses on helping organizations evaluate their internal structures, governance systems, programs, and partnerships to enhance their long-term sustainability and impact.

The initiative is implemented by ERIM, which will provide at least four OCA support and capacity-building grants, each worth up to €14,000 for projects lasting up to 10 months. These grants are designed to enable participating organizations to conduct an Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) and implement targeted actions to strengthen their effectiveness, resilience, and institutional growth.

Eligible organizations include NGOs, community-based groups, and collectives that work to advance LGBTQIA+ rights and inclusion. The funding aims to build not only operational capacity but also leadership, governance, financial management, communications, and partnership development skills. This support will allow organizations to identify their strengths, address internal gaps, and create strategic plans for future development.

Grantees will also benefit from tailored technical assistance such as consultations, coaching, and mentoring from experienced experts. These capacity-building activities will help organizations better manage projects, engage their communities, and contribute more effectively to local and regional movements for equality and human rights.

This initiative represents a crucial investment in the long-term sustainability of LGBTQIA+ civil society in Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus. By providing both funding and technical guidance, the program seeks to empower organizations to thrive independently, deepen their impact, and continue championing inclusion, diversity, and social justice across the region.
