Applications are now open for the Changelooms 2018 to encourage, recognize, and support young social entrepreneurs to achieve their potential to lead social change initiatives. This year long program provides Changeloomers from across the country with opportunities for intensive learning, networking, mentorship, visibility and fund-raising.
This journey is envisaged as one that would explore the construction of identities – others as well as of the self, positively deal with conflicts, become more system aware and learn how to mobilize, inspire others and amplify their impact.
Pravah works with young people to impact issues of social justice through youth citizenship action. Based in New Delhi, the organization works with adoloscents and diverse groups like youth organizations and institutions working directly with young people.
Objectives
- The prime objective is to strengthen youth-led social change initiatives that promote and pioneer innovative and creative work in areas of education, environment, youth and adolescent development and community development.
Changelooms Offers
- Intensive mentoring to strengthen young social entrepreneurs to lead social change initiatives:
- Learning opportunities to deepen self ‘refl- action’ and explore diversities
- Amplification of the initiative’s social change message and actions country wide
- Capacity building trainings to provide inputs on integrating Youth centric approach, instructional design and facilitation and developing effective tools for program planning and reviewing
- Resource linkages with national and international organizations and collectives
- Consistent inputs on Organization Development to enhance impact
- Seed Funding of up to 1.5lakhs
- An access to the national level youth workers’ collective to create extensive visibility
Eligibility Criteria
- Young social entrepreneurs (between 18-35 years of age)
- 2 representatives from each initiative will be part of the year long journey; preferably co-founders of the enterprise or at least one out of the two must be the founder member and the co-voyager should possess a key or senior role in the organization.
- Social change initiatives should have focused intervention in the areas of education, environment, community development, psycho-social development of youth or adolescents.
- The initiative should be in existence for at least 6 months (as on 1 st April 2019) with long term plans for social change
