Nominations are open for Premier’s Awards: Energy and Mining to invited from companies, organisations and individuals who operate or work in South Australia in the energy and mining sectors including:
- Energy generation, transmission, distribution, retail, energy products and services
- Mining and quarrying
- Oil and gas
- Quarrying
- Resource exploration
- Engineering, technology and services (ETS)
Aims

The 2022 Premier’s Awards aim to:
- promote South Australia as a great innovation destination
- recognise leading practice companies and encourage other companies to follow their lead
- raise awareness of South Australian leading practice and innovation in the marketplace and illustrate its impact.
Categories
-
Awarded to individual sectors for the following categories:
- Community – Recognising demonstrated excellence in working with a local, regional or statewide communities to deliver positive outcomes.
- Environment – Recognising demonstrated excellence in delivering positive environmental outcomes.

Safety and Wellbeing
- Health and Safety – Recognising demonstrated excellence in the development and/or implementation of an innovative solution to an identified work health and safety issue.
- Inclusion and Wellbeing – Recognising demonstrated excellence in solutions to identified inclusion and wellbeing issues.

Innovation and Transformation
- Productivity Improvement – Recognising a project or product that has improved efficiency, productivity or competitiveness.
- Innovation and Collaboration – Recognising excellence in innovation and collaboration, showcasing vision, opportunity and/or transformational change.

Awarded to the overall winner of the following category:
- Young Achiever Award (30 years of age or younger) – Recognising the value, exceptional achievements and significant impact of those inspirational and dedicated South Australians in the energy, resources and/or ETS sector aged 30 years or younger.
- Young Indigenous Achiever Award (30 years of age or younger) – Recognising the value, exceptional achievements and significant impact of those inspirational and dedicated South Australians in the energy, resources and/or ETS sector aged 30 years or younger.
Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for the Premier’s Awards 2022, companies, organisations or individuals must:

Operate or work in any of the following sectors:
- Energy – generation, transmission, distribution, retail, energy products and services
- Mining
- Petroleum
- Quarrying
- Resource exploration, and/or
- Engineering, technology and services (ETS)
- The company, organisation, or individual must operate or work in South Australia, irrespective of ownership or headquarter location.
- Previously awarded project–winning projects will not be considered for another award in the same category unless the applicant can demonstrate a
- significant difference and/or additional outcomes have been achieved through the previous winning project or evolution of the project scope.
- Allow resubmission and award consideration by agreement of the full judging panel in that category or division. The judge’s decision will be final and no other correspondence entered into.
