Deadline: 16-Oct-2025
The BC Arts Council is now inviting applications for its Project Assistance: Visual Arts Organizations grant, designed to enhance community engagement through innovative visual arts programming.
This opportunity enables artists, curators, and collectives across British Columbia to develop, expand, or create new public-facing visual arts and craft initiatives that enrich cultural life and elevate creative exploration.
Grant funding supports a wide variety of practices, ranging from independent curatorial work and studio-based disciplines like drawing, photography, printmaking, and sculpture, to experiential forms such as installations, video, performance art, public art, and both contemporary and traditional crafts. Community-engaged practices led by artists and cultural practitioners are especially welcome, opening doors for meaningful local involvement.
Organizations may request up to $25,000 to bring their vision to life. The funding can support development of bold new works, community exhibitions, artist residencies, or collaborations that invite audiences to experience, participate, and connect. As part of the process, applicants must consult the detailed Program Guidelines before applying to understand eligibility, eligible expenses, exclusions, and supporting materials needed.
This grant offers a powerful opportunity for visual arts organizations and collectives to expand cultural access, support creative vitality, and bring arts experiences to communities across BC—now is the time to turn your artistic ideas into public projects that resonate.
