Request for Applications: AlburyCity Community Infrastructure Fund (Australia)

Call for Applications: Local Enhancement Programme (Ireland)

Deadline: 30-Nov-2025

The AlburyCity Community Infrastructure Fund 2026/27 provides financial assistance to eligible community organisations, clubs, and groups in the Albury local government area to develop or improve significant community assets, with applications closing on Sunday, 30 November 2025.

The focus areas include developing or improving significant community assets, which can be a building, land, or operational equipment; ensuring projects link to the outcomes and goals in AlburyCity’s Community Strategic Plan Towards Albury 2050 and Council’s adopted strategic plans; benefiting residents of the Albury local government area; supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion; encouraging social, cultural, and environmental sustainability; and providing financial and/or in-kind assistance to eligible organisations.

The Community Infrastructure Fund has a total funding pool of $307,500 available in the 2026/27 financial year, which can be provided as a grant, an interest-free loan, or a combination of both, subject to a contract. Eligible applicants must be incorporated or a registered legal entity not acting for private gain and must demonstrate that their project cannot typically be funded through other sources. Applicants who previously received funding must have met all obligations under prior agreements.

Applications are assessed on alignment with Council goals, project readiness, organisational capability, public benefit, and financial capacity. Projects should demonstrate how they contribute to a growing sustainable economy, an enhanced natural environment, a caring community, and a leading community, while supporting Council’s adopted strategies. The scope, budget, timeline, and detailed project plans must reflect readiness for implementation. Organisations must show their ability to manage the project long-term and outline expected community and/or economic benefits, addressing demonstrated community needs. Financial capacity, including the applicant’s contribution to the project and how Council funding will address any budget shortfall, will also be evaluated.

Applicants are encouraged to review the Community Infrastructure Fund guidelines and AlburyCity Financial Assistance Policy before applying and to discuss their application with the Community Development Team. Applications must be submitted through the SmartyGrants Portal.
