Request for Applications: Anzac Day Proceeds Fund (Australia)

#image_title

Deadline: 15-Sep-2025

The Anzac Day Proceeds Fund provides financial support for wellbeing-related activities that benefit veterans and their families. Projects must clearly demonstrate how they will make a meaningful impact on veteran wellbeing. The fund prioritises initiatives that assist underrepresented or vulnerable groups, including women, First Nations veterans, LGBTIQA+ veterans, those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans with disabilities, and those whose service has negatively affected their mental health. Preference is also given to projects focusing on post-1990 Australian Defence Force operations, those that can continue beyond the grant period, and those that foster collaborative partnerships.

Projects must be completed within 12 months of the signed agreement and should include in-kind contributions, especially from organisations with significant or commercial revenue streams. Projects that have already started before the anticipated funding announcement in November 2025 are not eligible. Organisations receiving revenue from electronic gaming may be given lower priority.

State-wide organisations delivering welfare or wellbeing services to veterans across Victoria can apply for up to $150,000 (excluding GST), while sub-branches or regional organisations serving specific areas can apply for up to $50,000 (excluding GST). More than one application can be submitted, but funding is not guaranteed for previously supported applicants and awarded amounts may be lower than requested. The current round supports activities occurring from 1 January to 31 December 2026.

Eligible applicants must have a valid Australian Business Number (ABN) or provide proof from the Australian Taxation Office that withholding tax is not required. Organisations must be incorporated as not-for-profits under relevant legislation, or unincorporated but supported by an incorporated auspice. Unincorporated applicants may also be government entities or social enterprises whose mission directly supports veterans’ welfare and wellbeing. Social enterprises must submit their constitution and demonstrate their impact model, which may include creating jobs for marginalised people, meeting unmet community needs, or donating at least 50% of profits to charity.

Organisations must primarily provide welfare or wellbeing services to Victoria’s ex-service community, be financially solvent, and be based in Australia. Projects must be delivered in Victoria. Ineligible applicants include government departments, individuals, sole traders, commercial enterprises, and certain educational institutions, though some may act as auspice bodies. Organisations that have failed to meet the conditions of previous grants or whose projects fall under another Victorian government department’s responsibility are also not eligible, along with hospitals and health service organisations.
