Request for EOIs: Implementation of IMET for NN-TALD in Sierra Leone

USAID Dumisha Afya Activity: Increasing the use of Quality county-led Health and Social Services in Kenya

Deadline: 30-Sep-2025

The World Food Programme (WFP) has opened an opportunity in Sierra Leone aimed at enhancing the governance and conservation of protected areas through data-driven analysis and capacity development.

This initiative will operate across the Eastern, Southern, North Western, and Northern regions, targeting cross-sectoral priorities including monitoring and evaluation, research and data analysis, and training and capacity building.

The programme is designed to generate evidence that can guide stronger conservation outcomes while fostering sustainable community engagement around protected areas. By combining rigorous data collection with skill development, the initiative will help local institutions make informed decisions that benefit both people and ecosystems.

Successful partners will be responsible for producing a range of deliverables that capture the progress and effectiveness of protected area management. This will include baseline reports and completed scorecards for nine protected areas, offering a clear starting point for measuring future change.

Midline IMET reports and updated indicator matrices will then be developed for five priority sites to assess improvements and identify challenges. Endline IMET reports and scorecards for the same five areas will provide a comprehensive picture of the programme’s long-term impact on governance and conservation outcomes.

In addition, partners will prepare action plans with concrete recommendations to strengthen governance structures and conservation practices, alongside capacity-building reports and training materials to ensure that local teams are equipped with the skills and knowledge to sustain these improvements.

Through this initiative, WFP aims to build a foundation of accountability, resilience, and local ownership that will support the long-term protection of Sierra Leone’s natural heritage.
