Deadline: 19-Oct-2025

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Jakarta has announced its annual Call for Proposals for Small Local Projects for 2026, inviting local entities in Indonesia and Timor-Leste to lead community-driven development initiatives.

The programme aims to support small-scale interventions that promote local welfare, cultural vitality, health, education, environmental protection, or gender equality.

Projects must be implemented by local organizations with legal personality, such as NGOs, cooperatives, schools, cultural institutions, or community groups—not by individuals. Each applicant may submit more than one proposal but can only receive funding for one. The initiative is intended to support activities with direct local impact rather than capacity building or institutional strengthening.

When endorsed by the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, projects will be administered directly by the embassy. Funding contributions range from CZK 200,000 to 500,000 (approximately USD 10,500 to 24,000). Administrative costs—such as salaries, travel, or per diems—may not exceed 25 % of the project budget, and co-financing from other sources is encouraged to enhance sustainability.

Projects are expected to commence in March 2026, following contract signature, and all activities including financial reports must be completed by 31 October 2026. All tangible outputs should feature the emblem of Czech Development Cooperation, while intangible efforts must mention the Czech Republic’s support.

Submissions must also be sent electronically in PDF and Excel formats. This call offers a rare opportunity for Bhutanese organizations to reimagine education through an artistic lens, nurture student creativity, and strengthen school-community connections.
