Deadline: 09-Nov-2025
The World Food Programme has launched its Developing Resilience and Reducing Malnutrition Grant Programme to support the Government of Burkina Faso in its goal of Zero Hunger by 2030 through initiatives aimed at strengthening the capacities of the most vulnerable populations.
Focus areas and objectives include strengthening the capacities of vulnerable populations, building socio-economic, food, and nutritional resilience, creating productive assets, improving access to basic social services, promoting climate-resilient and inclusive food systems, protecting and restoring natural resources, linking production to consumption, supporting healthy diets, and fostering enabling environments for sustainable development.
Through its three-pronged approach (3PA), WFP collaborates with government technical services, NGOs and associations, the private sector, universities, and research institutions to implement the Resilience Initiative.
The initiative focuses on the creation and restoration of productive assets that benefit local populations by strengthening agricultural production, health services, education, and other essential sectors. Activities are identified through participatory community planning, ensuring that interventions are tailored to the needs of the communities.
The program aims to reduce humanitarian needs by improving access to safe and nutritious food through ecosystem restoration, supporting smallholder farmers, restoring agrosylvopastoral production potential, reducing dependence on imports, and improving food security and infrastructure.
WFP is seeking a cooperating partner (NGO) to implement integrated resilience programs in the Nakambé Region, Kouritenga Province, specifically in the communes of Andemtenga, Baskouré, and Gounghin.
The selected partner will also manage the distribution of food and/or cash transfers to participants in the creation of productive assets. Potential partners must be registered and operational in Burkina Faso and will work in collaboration with technical services, local authorities, and beneficiary communities to organize and monitor resilience activities.
The deadline for applications is 9 November 2025.
