Submission open for Flourish Mentorship Grant Program in Nigeria

Call for Proposals: Fund for Local Cooperation (Ukraine)

Deadline: 20-Jul-2025

ActionAid Nigeria (AAN) is inviting proposals for the FLOURISH Mentorship Fund, aimed at Young Women-Led Organizations (WLOs) operating in humanitarian and emergency response settings within the BAY States—Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe.

The FLOURISH Mentorship Programme is designed to strengthen the capacity of underrepresented WLOs in these regions. It focuses on developing leadership, governance, financial systems, and organizational effectiveness in the humanitarian sector.

The key goal is to help these organizations apply the knowledge gained through mentorship by implementing gender-responsive and community-driven humanitarian initiatives. It also seeks to build trust, track records, and familiarity with humanitarian systems like the Cluster System and Humanitarian Program Cycle.

Selected organizations will receive a small seed grant between $500 and $1,000 USD, with implementation lasting for three months. The funding is meant solely for direct project activities.

Certain costs are considered ineligible under this fund. These include office rent, asset purchases (like laptops or furniture), administrative expenses for other organizations, salaries, international travel, indirect costs, facility upgrades, and insurance.

To be eligible, organizations must be based in Borno, Adamawa, or Yobe. Applicants must be registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) or a recognized body and have an organizational bank account. Only organizations led by young women aged 18 to 35 are eligible, though members can be older or younger.

Applicants should have experience working with women and girls at the community level. Priority will be given to WLOs that have already completed AAN’s due diligence process. Organizations must also be actively involved in humanitarian or emergency response and show readiness to implement small-scale projects using internal systems and lessons learned from mentorship.
