Submissions open for Pride Events and Festivals Fund in Australia

Call for Applications: AL-Invest Green Program 2025

Deadline: 26-Aug-2025

The Victorian Government is accepting submissions for the Pride Events and Festivals Fund to support and celebrate LGBTIQA+ communities across the state. This initiative promotes community connection, diversity, resilience, and inclusion.

Applicants must demonstrate how their proposed events meet the program objectives, including celebration and social connection, accessibility and inclusion, diversity and intersectionality, and capacity building and sustainability. The program aims to fund activities that promote LGBTIQA+ arts and culture, strengthen community connections, celebrate diversity, combat discrimination, and improve the long-term viability of LGBTIQA+ events.

A total of $400,000 is available for the 2025–26 round. Applicants can apply under two funding streams: up to $10,000 for small events or between $10,001 and $25,000 for larger-scale events. Projects can begin from 1 October 2025 and must be completed with funds spent by 30 November 2026.

Eligible activities include events and festivals that celebrate LGBTIQA+ arts, culture, music, and history; networking or educational events such as forums, conferences, and speaker series; and community events designed to increase understanding of LGBTIQA+ issues and intersectionality.

To be eligible, applicants must be either community, not-for-profit or peak bodies incorporated under relevant Australian legislation, or social enterprises with a clear mission to support LGBTIQA+ communities. They must also have a current ABN, at least $10 million in public liability insurance (or an auspice arrangement that meets this), and no outstanding reporting obligations from previous state-funded grants.
