SuperValu TidyTowns Competition in Ireland

The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, in association with the Managing Director of SuperValu, Mr. Ian Allen, has launched the 2022 SuperValu TidyTowns competition.

The national SuperValu TidyTowns competition is an annual contest organised by the Department of Rural and Community Development. The competition is supported by the title sponsor SuperValu and many other agencies.

The competition involves participating areas being rated on all aspects of their local environment and prizes awarded to the best under many different categories. The overall winner is “Ireland’s Tidiest Town”. which is announced at a national ceremony in September each year.

All main prizes are based on the scores achieved by entrants in the competition as follows:

Award Information

There are over 200 prizes given out each year, with more than €200,000 of the total prize fund of €250,000 awarded under the main competition.
