The Municipal World is pleased to launch a call for nominations for Municipal World to celebrate women who have made significant contributions to the field, whether on the administrative or political side of life.
Women who have demonstrated leadership, strength, and determination. Women who have worked collaboratively and lifted up others along the way in the pursuit of effecting positive change in communities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nominees must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or older. Previous winners, employees and immediate family members of Municipal World Inc. and its subsidiaries and sponsors of the Awards Program are ineligible. Nominations may only be submitted in the name of a single person; group nominations are not acceptable.
- By submitting a nomination, you agree to grant Sponsors the right without obligation, unless prohibited by law, to use the contents of your nomination, your name, voice, picture, and likeness, without compensation, for the purpose of advertising and publicizing all matters related to the Awards Program and/or the Sponsors in any medium, throughout the world in perpetuity. Nominees may be contacted to provide additional information and have their information verified. Municipal World reserves the right to request and require additional information from nominees to have their nomination considered.
- Judging for the Awards Program: From a list of finalists, three (3) honourees for the award will be selected. Honourees will be announced in early summer 2023.
Nomination Requirement
- Your nomination should include a brief summary (up to 500 words), explaining why the individual you’ve nominated should be recognized as a Woman of Influence – highlighting:
- The role they’ve had in local government (administrative or political)
- How they’ve made a difference in their community
- Ways they’ve mentored and supported others
- Contributions they’ve made to the field of local government – locally, provincially, nationally, and/or internationally.
