Open Call for Application for Organizations Working with People with Disabilities in Rwanda

The GIZ project Digital Solutions for Sustainable Development (DSSD) in partnership with the Ministry of ICT and Innovation (MINICT) is launching an open call for organizations working with people with disabilities: Participate in the development of a streamlined curriculum and a train the trainer seminar for teaching people with disabilities in ICT skills.

Organizations, schools, ICT companies, and government institutions interested in training people with disabilities on digital literacy can apply to be part of this project. As a precondition, this exercise will focus on assessing the currently used curricula and capacitate organizations and trainers to be able to provide high-quality digital literacy training to people with disabilities.

Process

To achieve those objectives, GIZ in partnership with MINICT will help 10 organizations which have experienced trainers already working with people with disabilities to expand their operations into digital literacy. They will be part in designing a streamlined and standardized curricula and participate in a train the trainer seminar. Furthermore, 3-5 organizations from those 10 will receive assistive technologies based on the criteria detailed below.
