CFAs: East Gippsland Shire Council’s Community Impact Grants – Australia

Apply now for Community Project Grant (Australia)

Deadline: 31-Oct-2025

The East Gippsland Shire Council is now seeking proposals for its Community Impact Grants.

The Community Grants Program is designed to enhance the social, cultural, environmental and economic wellbeing of the region, while ensuring all applicants have equitable access to funding opportunities. The program also seeks to foster community capacity, encourage social inclusion, and promote active participation, alongside supporting projects that prioritise environmental sustainability and contribute to long-term community wellbeing. By aligning with Council’s strategic priorities, the program ensures that grants deliver maximum benefit and lasting impact.

Through the Impact Grants, funding between $3,001 and $20,000 is available for projects that focus on community development or environmental sustainability. These grants are intended to help create meaningful change by supporting initiatives that strengthen resilience, encourage innovation and address local needs.

Eligibility for funding requires applicants to meet specific criteria. Organisations must be incorporated or have support from an incorporated body under an auspice agreement, with exceptions considered for individual artists. Applicants must have successfully met acquittal requirements for any previous Council grants, and proposed projects must be inclusive of the diverse range of residents across the community. Activities that prioritise participants based on religious or political affiliations are not eligible, and applicants are expected to uphold and promote human rights in line with the Victorian Charter of Human Rights. Additionally, sufficient insurance provisions must be in place to ensure accountability and sustainability.

This program reflects the Council’s commitment to nurturing vibrant, inclusive and sustainable communities while maintaining a clear and accountable grant allocation process.
