The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) invites you to provide a quote for the following service: Implement initiatives to build the economic capacity of women victims of gender-based / domestic violence and women at risk.
The project aims to strengthen the security and protection of women and girls from gender-based violence (GHG) by transforming social norms that justify GHG, improving victims’ access to quality care and developing coordination and accountability mechanisms at the national and local levels.
UNFPA in Ukraine is implementing the project “EMBRACE: Strengthening national and regional mechanisms to build an adaptive, accountable and cost-effective system for combating and preventing gender-based violence” (the name comes from the English word EMBRACE, formed from the first letters of the word: E nhancing esponsive, A ccountable & C ost- E ffective System) with the financial support of the UK Government.
Prerequisites
The United Nations Population Fund invites qualified civil society organizations (CSOs) working in the field of combating and preventing gender-based / domestic violence, and / or with various categories of vulnerable women, in target areas and communities for at least 1 year. The selected service provider will work under the leadership of the UNFPA team under the Program for Combating and Preventing Gender-Based Violence.
Eligibility Criteria
UNFPA is looking for a service provider – civil society organizations (CSOs) working in the field of combating and preventing gender-based / domestic violence, and / or with different categories of vulnerable women.
The service provider must:
- be a civil society organization;
- be officially registered in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Public Associations” (№ 2415-VIII of 15.05.2018) and the Law of Ukraine “On Charitable Activities and Charitable Organizations” (№ 1664-VIII of 06.10.2016) with the status of a legal entity;
- have experience in combating and preventing gender-based / domestic violence, and / or working with different categories of vulnerable women for at least one year;
- have proven experience in implementing at least one donor-supported project and reporting on it;
- have appropriate specialists and staff for the quality implementation of the project (project manager), financial specialist (s) / accountant, psychologist / psychologist to accompany the victims, and other specialists in accordance with the needs of the project).
