The Governance Programme at the Aga Khan University’s Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations, London, is pleased to announce its 2021 Winter Afghan Digital Scholarship Award.
The award offers up to £4,000 per award to scholars from the social sciences and humanities, policy-makers, journalists, poets, and other creatives for the pursuit of their own projects and to produce a deliverable that centres on Afghanistan and its diaspora and links to the Governance Programme’s research interests. The award will cover work undertaken during November and December 2021.

- Academics pursuing/holding a PhD in the social sciences and humanities;
- Policy-makers;
- Journalists;
- Poets;
- Creatives;
- Others, where applicable.
- There are no limitations on where you are based in geographic terms to be able to apply for this scheme, but preference will be given to applicants who currently reside in or have resided in Afghanistan in the past eight years.
