Applications are now open for the Teach First Denmark Graduate Program, an opportunity to make a difference for the educational opportunities of vulnerable children and young people. Both now and in the future.

During the program, you will be given tools that enable you to create progress and change: in primary schools, ministries, organizations and NGOs or other places where you see opportunities to make a difference.

As part of the program, you study up to 90 ECTS credits of a merit teacher education of 150 ECTS. Typically, you will receive credit transfer of 20-30 ECTS points from your higher education. This means that you will easily be able to complete the remaining 30-40 ECTS after the two years of the program and become a trained teacher.

Funding Information

As a graduate, you are paid monthly by your school according to the current agreement for teachers in the primary school. The average salary is approx. DKK 30,000 + 17 pct. in pension + any local allowances.

Geographical area

They collaborate with primary and lower secondary schools in vulnerable residential areas throughout the Capital Region and Kalundborg / the rest of Zealand. It is therefore of great value that you are flexible in relation to where you want to be a graduate. Whichever area you choose, they cannot guarantee you employment at a school close to your place of residence. The reason is that graduates are hired based on where there is the best match and where one can make the biggest difference.
