Call for Applications: Frankfurt Leadership Lab Program – Germany

CFPs: Strengthening Local CSO's Capacities and Women’s Leadership in Peacebuilding and Human Security (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Deadline: 28-Jul-23

The U.S. Consulate General Frankfurt is pleased to launch the Frankfurt Leadership Lab, a program to develop empowered, effective mid-level leaders who champion and reflect the diversity of the United States and Germany.

Frankfurt Leadership Lab seeks to develop a robust network of change agents engaged and committed to champion the shared values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) and respect for human rights within U.S. Consulate General Frankfurt’s district. This consists of an eight-month program for U.S. and German participants to draw strength from each other’s unique disciplines and identities, build leadership skills, expand professional networks, and advance the transatlantic relationship long after the program concludes.

The inaugural cohort of Frankfurt Leadership Lab will launch in September 2023 with a target group of 20 participants and will include not only mid-level professionals from the U.S. Consulate General Frankfurt, but also external organizations located within the Consular district (encompassing BadenWürttemberg, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Saarland).

Program Objectives: At the participant level, the program aims to increase retention in their respective organizations; deepen their skills, knowledge, and networks; and help them advance in their careers. The program seeks to shift organization policies to better promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to strengthen leadership support for such initiatives. The program seeks to serve as a model for other organizations in Germany and to develop champions that will continue to advocate for positive change.

Program Design: The program achieves its objectives by blending education, experiential learning, and networking to a diverse group of peers and senior leaders.
