Call for Proposals: Experience Sharing Grants in Poland

#image_title

Deadline: 31-Oct-2025

The European Commission has launched the Call for Thematic Grants to strengthen collaboration and learning among civil society organisations (CSOs) in Poland.

Its main objective is to support experience sharing between organisations that work with groups at risk of discrimination, unequal treatment, hate speech, or hate crimes. It also targets CSOs engaged in watchdog, monitoring, or advocacy efforts in defence of the rule of law, as well as those seeking to build new expertise in these areas.

At the heart of this initiative is peer learning. The grants are designed to connect two CSOs—an applicant and a partner—so they can share knowledge, skills, and solutions. The focus includes not only human rights and rule of law activities but also organisational development, team building, and capacity strengthening. By pairing organisations with different levels of experience, the programme encourages growth, innovation, and solidarity across Poland’s civil society landscape.

A total budget of PLN 300,000 (approximately EUR 69,460) has been allocated, with grants ranging from PLN 10,000 to 20,000 (EUR 2,315 to 4,600). Both applicants and partners must be non-profit CSOs legally established in Poland, with eligible forms such as foundations, registered associations, church legal entities, rural housewives’ circles, or ordinary associations. Applicants are required to have been registered for at least 12 months before applying. All activities must take place within EU Member States and must respect EU values, as set out in the Treaty on European Union and the Charter of Fundamental Rights.

Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis up to four times, with deadlines in December 2025, April 2026, September 2026, and December 2026, or until the budget is fully allocated. Eligible project activities include study visits, joint workshops, job shadowing, traineeships, expert exchanges, and collaborative initiatives that test new working methods. Projects must remain secular in nature, with no activities promoting or linked to religious worship or doctrine.

By investing in peer learning, the European Commission’s Call for Thematic Grants seeks to strengthen the resilience and effectiveness of CSOs, ensuring they are better equipped to defend human rights, uphold the rule of law, and build inclusive communities across Poland.
