Call for Proposals: Skill Development Programs in India

Contests and challenges Open for Individuals, Organizations, media and Businesses in India

Deadline: 15-Nov-2025

The iHub‑Data at IIIT Hyderabad, under India’s National Mission for Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems, has issued a call for proposals exclusively for members of the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category.

The opportunity is aimed at institutions and professionals who can plan and execute short-duration, skill-based training programmes in data-driven application domains, delivering tangible outputs and outcomes.

Eligible applicants include faculty members, NGOs, incubators or startups, and other civil society organisations with a desire to run workshops, certificate courses, technology/product development courses or data-collection surveys targeted at the ST community. The funding available for each approved programme is up to ₹2 lakh and the training must run for at least five days with a minimum of 80 participants and at least 40 % women participants.

The initiative emphasises hands-on, outcome-oriented training in emerging technologies and data domains. Proposals should prioritise active engagement, practical work and meaningful results rather than passive teaching. Matching contributions are encouraged and the initiative particularly favours programmes which build high quality data ready for scientific evaluation or further applied use.

For organisations or professionals working with ST communities and seeking to build data-skills, digital capabilities, or tech awareness, this call presents a valuable chance to secure dedicated funding, design inclusive training programmes and support under-represented groups through skill enhancement in critical and emerging domains.
