The Embassy of Ireland is currently inviting concept notes from Vietnamese Universities, Research Institutes and Vocational Colleges for the 2020 Vietnam Ireland Bilateral Education Exchange (VIBE) programme.

The Vietnam Ireland Bilateral Education Exchange (VIBE) is an initiative of the Embassy of Ireland under the Irish Development Experience Sharing (IDEAS) Programme. The VIBE Programme aims at encouraging co-operation and research links between Irish and Vietnamese higher education and research institutions.

The disciplines of the VIBE programme should reflect the overall objectives of contributing to sustainable socio-economic development in Vietnam and be in line with the Government of Vietnam’s sectoral priorities for overseas education and research collaboration.

Objectives

The overall objective of the VIBE programme is to contribute to Vietnam’s socio-economic development priorities by encouraging mutually beneficial links between the two countries, with particular reference to strengthening capacity in third-level education and research.

The specific objective of the programme is to act as a catalyst to encourage and deepen third-level education linkages, build capacity and research capability by supporting the commencement of a number of new partnerships between Irish and Vietnamese education and research institutions.

Eligible Expenditure: Project expenditures eligible for the Embassy’s funding include direct cost to implement project activities, travel costs, accommodation and subsistence.

How to Apply

A concept note following the Embassy of Ireland’s format must be submitted by email in English at the address given on the website.

Applicants who are successful in the concept note stage will be invited to submit a full technical proposal. The format for technical proposal and further instruction will be provided to the shortlisted candidates.
