UNDP and the Environmental Information and Education Centre of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia are inviting students from eco-clubs and secondary schools in Tbilisi and Mtskheta municipalities to submit scenarios for the sequel of the animated manga “Forest My Friend”.
The animated manga was created under UNDP’s Sustainable and Climate-Friendly Forest Management project, implemented with financial assistance from Japan, in partnership with the National Forestry Agency.
The animation tells the story of a human girl and a tree stump separated by war between humans and forests. As the story evolves, they put aside their differences and set on a mission to help humans and trees rediscover their lost connection.
Benefits
- Authors of the three best sequel scenarios will be awarded GEL1,000 gift vouchers.

- Emphasis on the importance of the forest and the need for its protection
- Logical link to the first part of the animation
