The United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) is kindly request you to submit your Proposal to support to development of training module on enterprising and entrepreuneurship skills for technical and vocational education and training institutions.
Objectives
The objective of this assignment is to provide support boosting capacity and skills development services for wage and self-employment, making them more responsive to the labour market, incorporating new capacities, including a greater focus on soft skills, attitudinal suitability, social responsibility among employers with better knowledge of the SDGs, within a framework of cooperation with employers, employees and job-seekers by:
- Analyzing innovative practices of WET of other countries, especially, including those implemented by the private sector, governments, and public-private partnerships.
- Study the modern training methodologies such as Design thinking (DI) and Behavioral insights (BI), enterprising skills.
- other recent innovative ways to upgrade the training delivery methods.
Scope of Work
- Review and analyse existing training curricula of technical vocational education and training (WET), short term training courses related to enterprising and enterpreneurial skills, including the institutional setup for delivering these course:
- Conduct a desk review of existing curricula on enterprising and entrepreuneurship, and identify gaps in terms of content and delivery methods and teacher training;
- Research good and innovative practices of TVET of other countries, including those implemented by the private sector, governments, and public-private partnerships,
- Develop enterprising and entrepreneurship curricula for WET and short term vocational training courses
- Develop training curricula (content and delivery) with all supporting documents, in accordance with relevant standards;
- Conduct two pilot trainings at TVET and short-term training institutions and obtain feedback for improving the quality of content and delivery methods;
- Conduct capacity building activities and ToT for teachers of TVETs and short-term training institutions
- Conduct capacity building and awareness raising trainings for managers of TVETs and short-term vocational training institutions on enterprising and entrepreneurship (importance for employability of graduates, difference between existing and proposed contents, expected changes in graduates behavior and career patways etc) (80 participants);
Duration: The duration of the work is 4 months.
Eligibility Criteria
Requirements for the entity:
- Be a legal entity (research institution, consulting company, NGO etc) with at least 5 years of experience;
- Must have proven experience in education, vocational training, employment promotion, curriculum analysis, enterprising, and other closely relevant fields for at least 5 years;
- Availability of an international expert in the area of education and training would be an asset, but not mandatory;
The total indicative number of person/months is 12 person months.
