Y-PEER Asia Pacific Center is glad to announce a call for applications for the ‘Regional Peer Education Academy 2.0’ with support of partner organizations, UNFPA APRO, UNAIDS, APA, IPPF SARO, Youth-LEAD, Me for Myself, UNESCO, CYRC and ARROW to increase the knowledge of Peer Education and SRHR of Young People of Asia Pacific Region. 30 Young People will be selected per batch under the Regional Peer Education Academy.
To build capacities of participants from different corners of Asia Pacific and to enable them to be the SRHR youth advocates including those in remote / difficult-to-reach settings, Y-PEER Asia Pacific Center since the mid of 2021 has come up with an idea of an Academy where young people in the region will be trained and made experts in dealing with Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights challenges.
Regional Peer Education Academy 2.0 also aims to provide an online platform, giving participants an equal opportunity to enhance, share and update their knowledge and skills in the field of SRHR including emerging topics that are quite important in current circumstances.
Rewards
Each individual who will complete the academy will receive the certificate and also be eligible to apply for mini-grants.
Academy Duration / Timeline
- The Academy be rolled out from Mid December 2021 – Mid February 2022, for the period of 8 weeks.
- Each selected participant are expected to commit at least 2 hours a week for an online session.
- The online session will run EVERY SATURDAY for 90-120 Minutes (2-3 hours weekly) from 3: 00-5: 00 PM Thailand time – Additional 2 hours per week for study or offline assignment work.
Confirmation of Selection
Selected applicants for the Regional Peer Education Academy 2.0 will be informed by 22nd Dec 2021.
Eligibility Criteria
Young People aged 15-25 from the Asia Pacific Region (If you are below 18, additional documents will be provided for parental consent).
