Regional Tech Hub Connect Grants in Australia

Submissions open for Youthtown Grant Program in New Zealand

Deadline: 08-Aug-2025

Do you have an idea that could help your community better understand or access phone and internet services? If so, the Regional Tech Hub Connect Grants may be the perfect opportunity for you.

These grants support practical, community-based initiatives that aim to improve connectivity literacy in rural, regional, and remote areas across Australia. Connectivity literacy goes beyond digital skills. It’s about knowing how mobile and internet services work, what to ask your provider, and feeling confident troubleshooting issues when things go wrong.

There are two types of funding available. The RTH Connect Grants offer up to $3,000, while RTH Event Sponsorships offer up to $1,500. All funded projects must be completed within six months of approval.

Funding can be used for a wide range of activities, such as hosting workshops or community roadshows, running local training sessions, producing tailored resources, upskilling local volunteers, or promoting awareness of the Regional Tech Hub. It can also support sponsoring events where phone and internet information is shared with the public.

Eligible applicants include not-for-profits, community groups, regional service providers, and local councils. Your organisation must be registered and either based in or serving a rural, regional, or remote area in Australia. The program seeks applicants with strong community ties and a solid grasp of local connectivity challenges.
