Deadline: 31-Jul-2025

The Cold Noses Foundation Inc. offers grants to support special projects that promote the humane treatment of animals. This includes initiatives aimed at finding homes for animals, implementing non-lethal alternatives to euthanasia, offering veterinary care for families or organizations in need, and advancing humane education.

Funding is strictly limited to projects related to domestic pets, wildlife, or farm animals. Eligible organizations must track and report both expected and actual expenses. Proper receipt documentation must be submitted online through a report form. Cold Noses Foundation reserves the right to report any misuse of funds to appropriate authorities and requires transparency in reporting project outcomes to contributors.

Organizations receiving funds must maintain high standards of ethical conduct. The foundation’s board may review financial documents, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to ensure funds are being used responsibly. They also reserve the right to inspect how the funds are used and verify that they align with the grant’s intended purposes.

Cold Noses Foundation will outline in writing how the granted funds can be used. This document will be used as a checklist during inspections. Organizations previously funded by the foundation must undergo a financial review if more than a year has passed since their last grant.

To comply with U.S. law, Cold Noses Foundation checks all contacts against the OFAC’s list of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons. Providing funds to individuals or organizations on this list could result in severe penalties, including loss of non-profit status or criminal charges.

Organizations that fail to follow the guidelines will be required to return the full amount of the grant.

Ineligible applicants include individuals, private charities or foundations, and organizations with reported income over $200,000 USD in the last fiscal year (excluding in-kind gifts). U.S. organizations must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt to qualify. Grants will not be awarded to religious or political causes, discriminatory organizations, or those attempting to influence legislation.

The foundation will also not fund organizations with members on the SDN list, those serving as intermediaries for foreign charities, or those based in or linked to Cuba, Iran, Sudan, or Syria.
