RFPs: Environmental Education Grants Program (Tier 2) – Australia

MEST Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship - Ghana

Deadline: 11-Nov-2025

The NSW Government has opened applications for its Environmental Education 2025 – Tier 2 grants, providing an opportunity for organisations to secure funding between $ 60,001 and $250,000 for multi‑year projects.

These grants are intended for 3 to 5‑year initiatives that address complex environmental challenges across New South Wales by building skills, shifting behaviour, and driving sustainable change.

Projects must align with the NSW Environmental Trust’s strategic goals, such as ecosystem restoration, strengthening environmental management, and recognising the role of Aboriginal knowledge and connection to Country. Applicants are encouraged to co‑design solutions with their target audiences, pilot ideas, learn and adapt, and then scale approaches that deliver real impact.

Grantees will be expected to go well beyond awareness campaigns—programmes should offer dynamic, hands‑on experiences that foster behaviour change and systemic improvements, and generate measurable outcomes for the environment. Throughout the project, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting are essential components.

Eligible applicants include non‑profit organisations, incorporated associations, local councils, universities, Aboriginal land councils, and other public bodies that can deliver environmental benefits in NSW.

This Tier 2 grant presents an important chance for ambitious, thoughtful organisations to lead environmental education and behaviour change efforts in NSW, with substantial backing for well‑designed, evidence‑based projects that can leave lasting legacies.
