U.S. Embassy in Mongolia announces 2021-2022 Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program

The Public Affairs Section of the Embassy of the United State of America in Ulaanbaatar is now accepting applications for the 2021-2022 Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program.

The Fulbright Scholar Program offers one six-to-nine month research grant, and is intended for highly motivated scholars with advanced degrees (Ph.D.), or professional equivalency from higher education institutes, think tanks, and relevant government and non-government organizations who propose to conduct post-doctoral research at U.S. institutions in the fields of their specialization. They seek proposals on a wide range of topics in all disciplines with a priority in STEM education and university administration.

Grant benefits for the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program include all related expenses, a stipend, and cost of the grantee’s two-way international travel. The program allows dependent/s to accompany the grantee on J-2 Visa. However, the award do not include an additional allowance for dependents. All expenses for J-2 dependents must be covered by the grantee. Please note that the program stipend is not sufficient to support anyone in addition to the grantee. Applicants must return to Mongolia immediately upon completion of their research assignments. Upon successful completion of the grant, all grantees are required to report to the embassy and submit their research findings in writing.
