Applications are now open for the Protection of the Environment Award to recognize the activities of those engaged in outstanding environmental protection-industrial and service activities, the results and talents of professionals working in this field, and to provide them with the award of the Award professional and moral support and opportunities to make the achieved results more widely known.
The Association of Environmental Protection Services and Manufacturers (KSZGYSZ) is a professional interest representation non-profit organization that, since its establishment in 1992, has been organizing and representing the cooperation and further training of domestic environmental and nature protection and environmental industry players, and its recognized outstanding partner is the state administration, the economic of almost all actors in life.
The Association now has 260 member companies, supporters and associated members, who represent all areas of environmental protection.
With the decision of the professional jury, it awards outstanding activities that are carried out in the interest of society, in order to reduce the burden on the environment, eliminate environmental pollution, and promote sustainability and the circular economy model.
Categories
The call for applications for the “Protection of the Environment” Award welcomes nominations in 3 categories:
- Business category
- Companies performing outstanding activities in one of the following areas can apply for the Award or be recommended:
- Innovative service or product, process, technology, start-up, the development, introduction, and operation of which significantly contribute to the creation of a circular economy, sustainable development, and the achievement of climate policy objectives;
- Environmental sustainability practice (ESG approach – management system, UN sustainability goals, responsible operation, organizational and operational improvements, with which the company ensures the continuous, committed development of its environmental performance);
- The successful appearance and application of a service or product or technology abroad, which promotes sustainable development based on cooperation with companies, NGOs or scientific institutions of other (especially developing) countries;
- Individual category
- Individuals performing outstanding work in one of the following areas can apply for the award or be recommended:
- has made a recognized significant contribution to the protection of the environment, directly or indirectly, through his activities as a professional manager, researcher-developer, and contractor;
- within the framework of his profession, as an educator and educational specialist, he achieved outstanding results and gained recognition in the dissemination of environmental protection knowledge with his unique methodology or illustrative activities;
- civil private individual who has achieved outstanding results in the field of environmental protection attitude formation or innovative solutions in the field of spreading an environmentally conscious lifestyle.
- Youth category
- The “Protection of the Environment” youth category prize is awarded to persons aged 18-30).
- Students and young people between the ages of 18 and 30 working to protect and improve the environment can apply or be recommended for the award. KSZGYSZ membership is not required.
- In the recommendation, they ask that you provide specific data on the proposed person’s outstanding thesis, research and development work, as well as environmental protection/social activity, with particular regard to its novelty and possible areas of development and application.
- Preference is given to the candidate whose work can be used to achieve the goals of the Association, to develop the professional activities of its members, and who also has a recommendation and reference from a market player.
Tender Conditions
- The Award announced in the open call for tenders can be awarded to the organization, institution, or private individual that continuously performed outstanding environmental protection activities in accordance with the purpose of the call in the year before the call or in recent years.
- Winning the Award entitles you to wear and display the title “Owner of the ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AWARD”.
- The Prize does not come with a monetary reward.
- Organizations and individuals outside of the Association may also apply for the “Protection of the Environment” Award or be nominated.
Evaluation Criteria
The professional evaluation:
- The applications received are judged by the KSZGYSZ presidency as a professional jury.
- When evaluating applications, the quality and reliability of the information provided is of particular importance, so please make an effort to present the most important facts related to the nomination.
- The “Protection of the Environment” Award is presented by the president of KSZGYSZ. The names and awards of the awardees will be published on the KSZGYSZ website, but the submitted application materials will be treated confidentially.
