The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation is pleased to announce a call for project proposals for the 2021 Session.
Fields of Action
The project must relate to one of the following environmental fields:
- Climate change,
- Biodiversity,
- Water.
Priorities
- Protection of forest ecosystems with a focus on training local experts to support conservation projects taking into account the rights of the communities who live there,
- Environmental part of the sustainable management of water resources,
- Environmental projects having a direct and positive impact on human health,
- The development and promotion of eco-responsible food and in particular urban agriculture,
- Implementation of nature-based solutions promoting the resilience of coastal areas in the face of climate change and biodiversity loss,
- Projects to strengthen Arctic and Antarctic MPAs.
Priority Geographic Areas
- Mediterranean
- Polar areas
- LDCs
Prerequisites
- The funding request must relate to activities starting in 2023.
- Any financial support must not exceed 50% of the total project budget.
- The request for support must not concern:
- The regular functioning of the organizations,
- The projects led by a single person,
- The projects only of a commercial nature,
- The projects having no other financial partner.
Criteria
If your project meets the prerequisites and fields of action, it will be analyzed and selected according to the following criteria:
- Research, technological innovation, field projects involving the populations concerned,
- Added value, exemplarity and replicability of the project,
- Measurable and concrete aspect of the expected results of the project,
- Sustainable development” dimension of the project (social and economic, in particular),
- Consultation and involvement of the local populations concerned,
- Quality and solidity of partnerships,
- Technical and financial feasibility,
- Skills of the project leaders,
- Quality of project management,
- Existence of a project evaluation system,
- Particular attention will be paid to projects that contribute to human health and the fight against poverty.
