The City of Brampton is pleased to announce the Grow Green Environmental Awards that recognize outstanding individuals, businesses, and organizations from across the city that has demonstrated environmental leadership and have significantly contributed to the Grow Green Vision of conserving, enhancing, and balancing the natural and built environments to create a healthy, sustainable and resilient Brampton.
The Grow Green Environmental Awards provides an opportunity to understand and promote the environmental initiatives taking place across the city, foster a sense of community, provide education and engagement around environmental initiatives, and encourage others to take action.
Categories
- The Grow Green Environmental Awards features a total of four (4) award categories, including:
- Climate Change Award
- To recognize an individual and a business/organization that have significantly contributed to advancing climate change mitigation and/or climate change adaptation awareness/knowledge and action.
- Stewardship Award
- To recognize an individual and a business/organization that have significantly contributed to the advancement of environmental sustainability initiatives related to the conservation and/or stewardship of trees, natural heritage system, water, and/or the reduction of waste.
- Environmental Youth Award
- To recognize an individual or youth group that has significantly contributed to the advancement of environmental protection, climate change actions, and/or sustainability in Brampton.
- Environmental Legacy Award
- To recognize an individual that has demonstrated outstanding personal service and ongoing contributions to advance the Grow Green Vision of conserving, enhancing, and balancing the natural and built environments to create a healthy, resilient and sustainable city.
- Climate Change Award
Eligibility Criteria
- The Grow Green Awards recognizes outstanding individuals.
- Businesses and organizations from across Brampton that have demonstrated environmental leadership and have significantly contributed to the City’s overall Grow Green Vision of conserving. enhancing. and balancing the natural and built environments to create a healthy. sustainable. resilient Brampton.
