The Parkes Shire Council is pleased to launch Environmental Awards to recognise an individual or group contributing to their environmental preservation or advancing environmental awareness within the Shire.
This award recognises individuals and organisations championing litter reduction and/or environmental initiatives in their local community.
Each Australia Day, Parkes Shire Council recognises the service of Parkes Shire residents and their contributions to the communities and culture of the Parkes Shire.
There are many selfless people throughout the Parkes Shire who help improve the lives of others and make their Shire a better place to live. These quiet achievers often go unrecognised, yet they add to their shared goal of a harmonious, positive and progressive community.
Eligibility Criteria
- An individual or groupfrom the Parkes Shire Council Area who have made an outstanding environmental achievementin within the Parkes Shire.
Criteria
- The criteria for nominating an individual or group for the Parkes Shire Environmental Award are that the nominee or group has contributed at an outstanding level to environmental preservationor advancement of environmental awareness within the local area.
