UNDP Call for Proposals in Haiti

UNDP Call for Proposals in Haiti

Deadline: 16-Aug-22

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) hereby invites you to submit proposals for the recruitment of universities and higher education institutions in support of research activities in adaptation to climate change in Haiti.

The National Adaptation Plan (PNA) project is a project of the Haitian Government financed by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and implemented by the Ministries of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE) and of the Environment. (MDE) with the technical support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The NAP aims to contribute to the implementation of the National Policy on Climate Change (PNCC) validated in 2017 and also on the lessons learned from the implementation of the National Adaptation Action Plan (PANA) 2006, revised from 2017 and other related initiatives.

The National Adaptation Plan (NAP) aligns with the country’s overall Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) priorities. It will provide guidance on the governance measures to be implemented based on economic models likely to support this national development. This evolving program particularly aims for consistency between adaptation measures and development planning at national and territorial level.

Objectives

The objective of this call for tenders is to provide assistance to universities and higher education establishments in strengthening their capacities in terms of adaptation to climate change, so that they are stakeholders in adaptation initiatives in the country. In other words, this support should allow the project to contribute to the enhancement of national capacities through a series of research projects related to the various programs of the institutions that will be selected.
