Applications for United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/ Uganda Biodiversity for Resilience Activity are now open.

The goal of the USAID/Uganda Biodiversity for Resilience (B4R) Activity, implemented by RTI International, is to assist communities, the Government of Uganda (GOU), and the private sector to conserve and manage biodiversity in target ecosystems for lasting environmental and economic sustainability and increased community and household resilience.

Objectives

In close coordination with the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) and the National Forestry Association (NFA), the USAID/Uganda B4R Activity aims to promote ecotourism and enhance private sector engagement in the Kalinzu Central Forest Reserve, as well as to increase the capacity of UWA to deliver on their ecological and threat monitoring and enforcement capacity in the Kidepo National Park through specific construction activities, including:
