#image_title

Deadline: 28-Feb-25

The UN Women is accepting submissions for the Young Women Leaders in Palestine Programme to strengthen capacities and support the empowerment of young Palestinian women to advocate for gender equality in conflict prevention and peacebuilding.

UN Women proposes to develop a Young Women Leader in Peacebuilding and Decision-Making network. It draws upon the successful experiences of the Gender Innovation Agora and the Young Women Peacebuilders Programme carried out by the UN Women Regional Office of Arab States and aims to work closely with both networks.

The scope of the network is to build a cadre of next generation of young women as meditators, negotiators and leaders of change and sustainable peace.

Selected participants will engage in 60 hours of a capacity building programme covering the UN Security Council Resolutions 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security and UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security; as well as subsequent resolutions, conflict theories and analysis, including how to conduct gender-sensitive conflict analysis, conflict resolution methods, peace processes, formal and informal tracks, mediation processes, skills, values, and phases and local disputes settlement.
