The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is requesting for proposals for Establishing Crowdfunding Academy as a Training for CSO’s in Maldives.

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), and Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) recognize the significant role of CSOs, including Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), as valuable development partners that help to promote citizen participation, enhance sustainability, and alleviate poverty to accelerate progress towards the SDGs. Access to finance remains one of the main challenges for CSOs and NGOs.

Scope of Work 

The consulting firm is expected to undertake several activities as fundamental requirements to establish the Crowdfunding Academy. The following outlines the main duties and responsibilities of the consulting firm to operationalize a crowdfunding platform for Maldives and support CSO’s in developing and launching their campaigns.

Expected Outputs and Deliverables 

CSO networks are established and CSO impact on development interventions is strengthened through improved access to alternative finance mechanisms. The project will provide technical support to CSOs in Maldives on building their ecosystems for developing alternative finance mechanisms, as well as links to a broad network of partners with expertise in these emerging areas.
