Applications Open for Lantos-Humanity in Action Congressional Fellowship

Applicants are invited to apply for the Lantos-Humanity in Action Congressional Fellowship. Fellows in this program will participate in substantial, policy-based and administrative work in the office of a United States Representative or a Congressional Committee for four days per week.

Fellows will also spend one day a week attending an educational program that includes seminars, lectures and site visits led by leading policy experts and practitioners. The program will introduce Fellows to a variety of topics concerning contemporary policies and politics in Washington, DC.

Funding Information

Each Fellow will receive a stipend of $1,300.

Benefits

The Lantos Foundation will arrange housing and cover the costs of housing for the eight Fellows in Washington DC for the duration of the program.

Eligibility Criteria

Fellows and Senior Fellows: Humanity in Action Fellows and Senior Fellows are eligible to apply if they meet visa eligibility criteria.

Important Note on Visa Eligibility: If Applicants are not a U.S. citizen, do not have a U.S. passport or do not currently have a visa that will allow their to be in the U.S. for the duration of this program, applicant must be a current student or a recent graduate (applicants must have graduated from university or graduate school no earlier than January 2016) in order to be eligible for a visa. Humanity in Action is authorized to issue J-1 intern visas.
