Call for Proposals 2021: Support for Enterprise Development

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) with the support from Ford Foundation and Rockdale Foundation is inviting applications for its research fellowship programme which aims to promote leadership and governance for civil society in West Africa.

This short-term fellowship (90 days) is an action-oriented initiative targeted at young researchers. Three young research fellows between the age brackets of 20-35 would be selected and be supported to conduct research on a specific area of civil society leadership and governance while taking into cognizance practitioner experiences.

The goal of the fellowship is to offer young researchers an opportunity to document indigenous practices on civic leadership and governance in West Africa. This will be done by providing a space for interaction between relevant stakeholders, including decision-makers, development practitioners, civil society leaders and their constituents.

How to Apply

Eligible Countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, the island of Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, the island of Saint Helena, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome and Principe and Togo.
