Art Fellowship Opportunity for Young Bangladeshi Students

Fellowship

Deadline: 20-Jun-23

The BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health (JPGSPH) is offering art fellowship opportunities in collaboration with Oroddho Foundation under “Our Voices Our Futures” programme.

10 Fellowship grant opportunities will be provided to young (high school/college-going students) Bangladeshi artists interested in creating awareness and amplifying the voices of structurally silenced women in the country through art based advocacy. The selected Fellows will work closely with a mentor and be guided by experts to develop and implement their ideas to create innovative artwork or content to advocate for the rights of these women. This initiative aims to engage high school youths to become aware of the need for diversity, challenge stereotypes and biases, and engage in constructive conversations about diversity.

Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their proposals on the issues related to the rights of structurally silenced women which include but are not limited to gender-diverse people, indigenous women, commercial sex workers, single working women, women’s human rights defenders (WHRDs), Dalit women and women with disabilities.
